Following HFW's lead (see "Holman Fenwick first firm to post 2010-11 turnover"), more firms reveal their financial results for the year ending 2010-11:

  • Barlow Lyde & Gilbert has announced £22.7 million in profits - a 35% rise on last year's £16.8 million. In terms of revenue, the firm was up 17% - the figure grew from £80.8 million last year to £94.5 million.
  • Pinsent Masons has posted 3% revenue growth. According to the firm's preliminary unaudited results, revenue rose from £206 million in 2009-10 to £213 million this year.
  • City practice Stephenson Harwood's revenue figure for the year ending 2010-11 is £107 million - a 16% rise in fee income on last year and an increase for the third year in a row.
  • Wragge & Co also enjoys a 16% turnover rise; its £112 million figure climbed £15.8 million from last year's £96.2 million. Managing partner Ian Metcalfe told Legal Week: "We've felt the impact of the recession was a two-year process. At the end of the last financial year we thought we were beginning to go in the right direction, and indeed we have. I don't think we're entirely out of the woods just yet - but our business is strong and we will continue to grow into the next financial year."
