The Law Society, the Bar Council and the British Association for Sport and Law have announced the formation of the London 2012 Pro Bono Legal Advice and Representation Service for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The service will bring together barristers and solicitors to provide free legal advice and representation from 9 July to 12 September 2012 for athletes, coaches, team officials and others associated with the 2012 games. Applications to join the panel are sought, via specialist dispute service Sport Resolutions, by 15 May 2011.
Chairman of the Bar Council Peter Lodder QC said: "We are delighted to be able to support this important service and to make a substantial contribution to this landmark event for London and the whole of the United Kingdom."
