City firm and veritable fairy godmother Linklaters has launched a new competition called Aspire which allows entrants to select their own prize. All you have to do to get your hands on your chosen reward - which can be anything at all - is to convince the firm in 250 words or less that it should give you what you're asking for. The firm's suggestions for possible prizes range from the self-serving (eg, money towards a language course or a new suit to wear at interviews) to the community-minded (eg, money towards improving facilities in a community centre or helping underprivileged children in your local area).
Linklaters' graduate recruitment marketing adviser Vicki Wisson said: "Aspire is a new competition launched by Linklaters to encourage and inspire students to develop themselves and make a difference to their lives and/or their communities. We wanted to see what students really needed and then try to make some wishes come true. This new competition offers us a fun way to ask them about their dreams and aspirations, and we’ll be making wishes come true across the United Kingdom."
