The Junior Lawyers Division (JLD) is running an essay competition for its student and trainee members, with the question "What impact should the Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Bill have on the Legal Education and Training Review?". The winner will receive £500, the runners-up £250.
Only students registered with the SRA (ie, LPC students and post-qualified LPC students working as paralegals) and trainees are eligible to enter. However, the JLD has extended it to those students who are due to start the LPC in September 2012 provided they can confirm that they have submitted an application for student enrolment prior to the essay deadline.
Essays must be no more than 2,000 words.
Submit your entry by 23 July to [email protected].
