From September 2011, The College of Law will be offering a part-time BPTC at its Birmingham centre. It aims to help people combine BPTC study with work or family commitments.
The part-time course runs over two years, compared with one year full-time, and features around 26 hours of formal training and private study per week, as well as 15 study weekends per year. Paul Shoulders, BPTC course leader at CoL Birmingham, said: "The new part-time course opens up the potential rewards of a career at the Bar to people who need to work to support their studies or who have other commitments on their time." The course is also available part-time at CoL's London site.
Prospective students are invited to attend an open day on either Saturday 19 March or Wednesday 30 March to learn more about the course.
