For the tax-avoiding rich and powerful, it’s a nail-biting time as the world gets to see exactly how they hide their millions away. Read on for this and other enlightening business news from the past week:
- The new national wage of £7.20 came into force on 1 April; great news for many, but economists warn that millions of cash-in-hand employees will continue to miss out.
- Christine Lagarde, head of the IMF, has said that despite a shaky global recovery, there is no need to panic. She identified both the current risks of, and possible solutions to, the precarious situation in a speech to Goethe University.
