Future lawyers with a taste for insurance law should take note: a major new force in the specialist insurance law sector is coming on the scene after a merger between two insurance heavyweights. The merger combines the expertise of Parabis Law LLP's two specialist insurance firms Plexus Law and Cogent Law, with Everatt & Company. The resulting entity - which will trade under the name Plexus Law - will generate a £100 million-plus turnover and employ more than 1,000 people.
Plexus Law currently takes on four trainees a year on average. The training programme is divided into five seats: professional indemnity, clinical negligence, travel, property, and disease and employment.
Plexus Law senior partner Tim Oliver commented: "There is growing pressure on firms to continue to deliver the highest levels of quality and service, often across an increased number of business lines. We believe that joining with Everatt & Company is a natural step which ensures that we have the capability and experience immediately available to handle the new work we are both aiming to secure in a very competitive market, in addition to all existing business."
Everatt & Company senior partner Nick Yates said: "These are exciting times. This is going to be a great partnership. The combined strength of the new business means that it is exceptionally well placed to meet the needs of our clients across the board."
