Student pro bono awards open for nominations

updated on 05 December 2011

LawWorks has announced that nominations for the LawWorks & Attorney General Student Awards 2012 have just opened.

The awards celebrate the best pro bono activities undertaken by law students and law schools, and the positive impact that those activities have had on those who have been assisted. Attorney General Dominic Grieve QC MP will be presenting awards in the following categories:

  • best contribution by a law school (including undergraduate and postgraduate institutions);
  • best contribution by an individual student;
  • best contribution by a team of students; and
  • best new pro bono activity (anything which has been established since 1 September 2009).

All the nomination information and instructions are on the website, as well as the nomination forms. Each award category has its own form, to make it clear what the judges are looking for, we have produced a separate nomination form for each award category. There are also tips in the Instructions & Information for Nomination document.

You must submit your nominations by midnight on Sunday 29 January 2012. The awards themselves will be held on 27 March at the Houses of Parliament, attended by all those who have been shortlisted.
