Further to news that Co-operative Legal Services (CLS) is to offer family law services as part of its expansion into the legal market, the organisation has indicated that it will also be offering training contracts.
As reported in The Lawyer, CLS plans to set up the 'CLS Academy', aimed at giving LPC and BPTC students the chance to take part in work placements and intensive training. Said students may then be offered a training contract.
Chris May, head of business development at CLS, said: "Our team brings huge experience in delivering solutions to complex issues that go to the heart of people's lives. Our approach will be to deliver these in a fair and equitable way while providing opportunities for young lawyers to develop their careers as well as being open to experienced practitioners to provide the more complex and demanding areas of work."
CLS hasn't announced exactly when or how many training contracts will be on offer, but watch this space…
