The College of Law is encouraging attendees to its series of open days promoting its new two-year LLB, due to start in September 2012 at the College's London Bloomsbury, Birmingham and Chester centres (see "CoL launches two-year law degree").
Students attending the open days will get experience in putting together legal arguments by taking part in the great Jaffa Cake debate – biscuit or cake? They will find out about the serious commercial and legal implications of the product's classification during law taster sessions led by CoL tutors. The days will also involve a tour of the facilities and talks from course leaders.
Nigel Savage, chief executive of CoL, says of the course: "It differs from many traditional law degrees as it is targeted specifically at students who already know that they want a career in the legal profession and emphasises the teaching of essential professional skills."
