Postgraduate Diploma in Law (PGDL)
Full-time or distance learning
This course is designed for non-law graduates interested in becoming a solicitor or barrister. The Postgraduate Diploma in Law (PGDL) provides you with the foundation of legal knowledge and skills required for your legal training.
LLM Legal Practice Course (LLM LPC)
Successful completion of all the elements of our LLM LPC will result in the award of a Masters degree. As well as providing you with an internationally recognised qualification, you will leave us with enhanced insight into the legal profession and better equipped to succeed.
PG Diploma in Professional Legal Practice: SQE1 Preparation Course – full-time (six months) or distance learning (five weekends over one academic year)
This course is designed to prepare you for SQE1. Our tutors will work with you to develop your essential legal skills whilst also preparing you for an assessment in which you will draw on your existing substantive legal knowledge and learn how to blend it with procedure to solve practical legal problems.
LLM Professional Legal Practice: SQE1 Preparation Course – full-time (12 months) or distance learning (18 months)
This SQE1 preparation course provides an opportunity to obtain an internationally recognised masters qualification that is also eligible for the UK Government postgraduate loan. It will provide you with everything you need to have the best opportunity to pass SQE whilst also developing the professional skills that really matter to employers.
LLM Advanced Professional Legal Practice: SQE1 and SQE2 Preparation Course – full-time (12 months) or distance learning (24 months)
This course is designed to prepare you for both SQE assessments and provides an opportunity to obtain an internationally recognised masters qualification that is eligible for the UK Government postgraduate loan. It will provide you with everything you need to have the best opportunity to pass SQE whilst also developing the professional skills that really matter to employers.
LLM Law and Legal Practice: SQE1 Preparation Course – full-time (18 months) or distance learning (36 months)
This course is designed for non-law graduates interested in becoming a solicitor and provides you with the legal knowledge and skills required to prepare you for the SQE1 assessment, the first step in your route to qualifying as a solicitor. You will obtain an internationally recognised masters qualification by completing compulsory taught modules, this course is also eligible for the UK Government postgraduate loan scheme.
LLM Bar Professional Training Course (LLM BTC)
Successful completion of this course enables you to be called to the Bar, and proceed to pupillage. Our nine-month LLM BTC gives you the opportunity to gain the award of a masters (LLM), assuming successful completion of the BTC and an additional module, advanced advocacy, advice and ADR, which has been created to give you experience of issues that are at the cutting-edge of practice, such as vulnerable witnesses and expert evidence.
PGDip Barristers Training Course (BTC)
Our Barristers Training Course (BTC) provides the necessary vocational training for the Bar in just six months. Successful completion of this course will enable you to achieve a Postgraduate Diploma and be called to the Bar.
Our Masters of Law (LLM) courses allow you to explore the areas of law that most interests you. You will acquire valuable skills that provide an excellent progression platform into a wide range of challenging and rewarding careers.
