The delegate fees from this year’s LawCareersNetLIVE conferences will be donated to two legal charities.
In line with the new virtual events, the LawCareersNetLIVE delegate fee has been reduced to £10 which successful applicants will be required to pay when choosing their workshops. For the first time in the event’s history, these fees will be donated to two charities.
Legal mental health and wellbeing charity LawCare will receive the proceeds from half of the fees, while The AS Foundation, a charity established by Aspiring Solicitors to provide support and financial assistance to those entering the legal profession, will receive the other half.
Bethany Wren, content and events manager at LawCareers.Net, said, “Our LawCareersNetLIVE events are always popular and oversubscribed, which is why we charge a delegate fee in the first place – to ensure students turn up on the day. However, with our events taking place virtually this year, we wanted to show our commitment to running an affordable and high-quality event by donating to charities that support law students and aspiring lawyers. We hope that students are pleased to know where their money will be going and we look forward to supporting Aspiring Solicitors and LawCare.”
Applications for LawCareersNetLIVE, which will be taking place virtually this year, are still open. Head to the LawCareersNetLIVE website for more information and to apply by 29 October 2020 – offers will be made on a rolling basis.
