With Pupillage Gateway now open for applicants to browse pupillage vacancies, Bar students are busy completing application forms and researching different sets. Similar to law firm open days, one of the best ways to distinguish between chambers and assess the working environment is to meet barristers and clerks in person.
Several sets of chambers (as well as the Inns of Court) host open days, which provide a useful opportunity to learn about the structure of pupillage and pose questions to existing pupils and tenants. Some require candidates to complete application forms to attend, so ensure that you apply in plenty of time. The sets to have announced open days or information evenings so far are:
