Clyde & Co has announced that it has offered jobs to 100% of its trainees, across all of its international offices, with a 100% acceptance rate in the United Kingdom (and a 98% global acceptance rate).
With several firms releasing their retention rates over the past few weeks, few have managed to retain at such a high level. Clyde & Co offered positions to all 43 of its trainees, with 42 accepting and staying on as qualified solicitors. They will be joining a variety of departments, in the firm's numerous offices. Two of the London trainees will be qualifying into the Dubai office and one other into the San Francisco office.
The firm's trainee retention has continued to grow post-merger, with 91% in 2012, 94% in 2013 and 98% this year. The firm places significant emphasis on the fact that its NQ retention is aligned across all its offices.
Caroline Walsh, head of legal trainee recruitment and development at Clyde & Co, said: "We are delighted, as this extremely high trainee retention rate demonstrates the strength of the firm and the fact that it is in a very healthy position, continuing to grow and open ever more offices. We are a truly global firm, but one which is very much unified across the regions. That is reflected in our international secondment programme, offering overseas secondment opportunities to our UK trainees as well as bringing trainees over to London from Hong Kong and Dubai."
