Legal tech provider to develop Copilot with Microsoft to help streamline workflows

Today, legal technology provider Litera announced that it’s working with Microsoft to develop a Microsoft Copilot integration to streamline workflows for lawyers, improving efficiency and accuracy.

Adam Ryan, head of product at Litera, predicted that “by the end of 2024, many lawyers will be using Copilot in their day to day”.

He went on to explain that: “Being a Microsoft partner empowers Litera to create a singular, seamless experience. We’re bringing our knowledge of legal workflows and user behaviour to this collaboration to reduce distractions and improve user experience with Microsoft tools in the business and practice of law. We’re excited to innovate side-by-side with Microsoft and bring together Microsoft Copilot and Litera’s robust suite of legal technology.”

‌Litera has worked on a range of AI products, such as Kira AI, which was launched in 2011. Speaking about the partnership, Meagan Smith, Microsoft regional director, legal industry, explained: “We are collaborating with Litera to better understand how the legal community will leverage groundbreaking AI technology like Microsoft Copilot.” It’s hoped that the “working relationship will provide better integrations and smoother workflows” for the legal practice community.
